Charlie Daniels recalls close call in Iraq
WBIR-TV, Knoxville, TN: "Country performer Charlie Daniels says he had a close call while performing for U.S. troops in Iraq.
He and his band recently visited eight military installations in five different countries including Iraq.
He said while riding in a helicopter, the craft came under small arms fire. The band escaped without injury. "
